Member of Parliament for Hastings and Rye
"I have been married to Adam for twenty four years and we have three happy, industrious and independent-minded children, the youngest being seventeen years old. We have lived locally in the Hastings and Rye constituency for twenty years.
Born and brought up in Northumberland, I went to university in London and qualified as a lawyer specialising in corporate finance law with a City of London law firm. More recently, I practised family law in Kent before becoming a district councillor. I am a school governor of three primary schools in Hastings, with a responsibility for pupil premium children. I became a district councillor for Eastern Rother in 2015 and since May 2016 have been the Cabinet member for Public Realm, Culture and Tourism.
I was selected as the Conservative Parliamentary Candidate in November 2019 and was honoured to be elected as member of Parliament for Hastings and Rye on December 12th 2019.
